Israel's tactical says Palestinian equipped gatherings in Gaza have sent off around 20 rockets towards Israeli boundary networks - the heaviest such assault in months.

It comes as Israel gave a new clearing request for parts of the Khan Younis region in southern Gaza.
Somewhere else, savage battling went on for a fifth day in Shejaiya in the north of Gaza and an Israeli warrior was killed in the southern Rafah region.
On Sunday, Israel's state leader said its soldiers were participated in a "troublesome battle" an across the whole Palestinian area.
